Abstract: |
Cráneos & Pelos, La Guía de identificación de mamíferos de Chile te invita a descubrir nuestras especies desde una mirada diferente. Por décadas, restos digestivos como las heces y egagrópilas han sido material fundamental para la identificación de especies y estudios de comportamiento alimentario de aves rapaces y carnívoros. Esta guía te permitirá conocer sobre la ecología e interacciones de estas especies con el entorno y el ser humano, además de contribuir en ámbitos de biodiversidad, investigación forense, arqueología y paleontología, entre otros. Toto esto, por medio de metodologías no invasivas, simples y de bajo costo. La guía se compone de fichas de especies de mamíferos nativos e introducidos presentes en Chile y consta de fotografías de estructuras microscópicas identificatorias de pelos de guarda y fotografías macroscópicas de alta calidad para la identificación de cráneos y molares. Las claves de flujo te ayudarán a seleccionar los caracteres identificatorios que reconozcas en tus muestras de origen desconocido, y por medio del uso de filtros, identificar la especie bajo evaluación. |
